Mentoring Monday with 4WordWomen’s Dani Witkowski hosted by Rick Tocquigny. This show is presented by www.gracefully-yours.com, America’s favorite encouragement and mentoring greeting cards. Dani is Chief Chaos Coordinator l Life Inspired LifeStyle Services  and was in healthcare administration (nursing) for over 20 years and have taught nursing for over 9 years! I still teach nursing in an adjunct role (because I truly believe in the power of mentoring)! About 18 months ago I decided to leave healthcare and start my own company, Life Inspired LifeStyle Services. I felt that I needed to leave healthcare because the very thing that I felt was part of my core values (mentoring, developing and growing my team) did not seem to be a core value of my superior (who was sadly another woman). Life Inspired originally started off as a B2C type model of Personal Assistants where we “do the things you have to do, so you can do the things you want to do”. However over the course of the past 6 months, we’ve seen a greater need to help small/mid sized businesses who are mostly solopreneurs trying to do it all themselves by providing the back end office/admin support to allow the business owner the ability to focus on the things that THEY need to. When I talk about mentoring some of the questions that I’m asked is: Do I have to be a subject matter expert? Do I have to be in the same business as my protege (I so like that word more than Mentee – just sounds like a candy)! How does mentoring differ from training or consulting? How do I get the most “bang for my buck” when mentoring (both for the Mentor and the Protege)
